A pure race: hit 1 through 20 in order. First one to the 20 wins. Nobody can slow you down — it is you against the board.
Your turn
Three darts at your current number, which is shown big at the top. Any part of it counts — single, double or triple all move you along one step.
Walk through one
You are on 5. You throw a 5, then a 6, then a 7 — all three counted, so you finish the turn sitting on 8. A good turn can move you three numbers; a bad one leaves you where you were.
Winning
Hit the 20 and you are home. Everyone’s card shows what number they are stuck on, so you always know how close it is.
Good to know
Best warm-up in the app — it walks you round every number on the board.
How to win at Around The World
Keep a rhythm. There is no defence in Around The World, so the only thing that matters is accuracy. Throw at a steady pace and reset your stance if you drift.
Aim for the fat single. Any part of the number moves you on, so aim at the large single area, not the treble.
Learn the neighbours. The game walks you round the whole board, which makes it the best practice routine for learning where every number sits.
Variations and house rules
Dart Keeper plays 1 to 20 in order, where any single, double or treble counts. Other versions:
Finish on the bull. After the 20, you need the bull to win.
Doubles or trebles only. A tough practice drill — only doubles (or only trebles) of each number count.
Skip ahead. A double moves you two numbers and a treble three.
